pre-wedding shoot: Paul and Steph at Portchester Castle

This morning we spent a chilly couple of
hours with Paul and Steph at Portchester Castle shooting some pre-wedding
images.
Whilst I had photographed a
number of weddings at St Mary's in the past, well I say photographed, stood
outside the church as photography was previously banned in the ceremony - it had
been some time since I had been to the grounds of the castle. Surprisingly for a
Fareham wedding photographer this was however to be the first wedding I was to
have photographed there under my own business (having shot weddings in the past
there for another studio). Naturally I wanted to find some cool locations,
interesting textures and most importantly somewhere out of the chilling wind
both for this shoot and the wedding next
month.
Paul and Steph did really
well and I got some lovely images, some of which are below. Afterwards we warmed
up again at Port Solent with some hot chocolate and coffee as we walked through
their day in detail to ensure that they get exactly what they are looking for
in their photographs.
Their online
gallery is ready for viewing and I'm very much looking forward to seeing them
again soon at their
wedding
