Production and Products
Since we shot our last wedding in March we
have been working through our album production, fulfillment and online orders
for weddings right back to May of last year, as our clients finalise decisions
in what images they would like and approve album designs as well as some
unexpected but welcome online orders and parents albums. We are now pretty close
to clearing the board from 2006, with 2007 starting to fill it all back up again
!
As you'll know if you follow the
blog we have been putting in some branding changes and improvements to both our
workflow, and products and two of them were delivered this week !

!As you'll know if you follow the
blog we have been putting in some branding changes and improvements to both our
workflow, and products and two of them were delivered this week
!Firstly we have launched our new
online gallery system replacing the one we won in early 2006 for becoming SWPP
Nature Photographer of the Year. Whilst it served us well it didn't give us the
flexibility and control we required for our business and so our new gallery has
been customised and tailored to our business allowing us to offer our clients
more control, flexibility and value. We took our first request through it on
Friday and most of our current clients are already migrated. We will migrate
some of our other work, but if you find a gallery is not active and you wish to
order please contact us !Over the
next month we will be adding more features to the gallery to allow online
ordering of parents/family albums including image selection and some great
discounting options.Our second
product was the delivery of our first signing board. Naturally there is a lead
time for this as you need to complete the wedding to have a finished product for
the client - and on Friday I delivered the signing board to Helen and Justin who
were married in March, and returned from Honeymoon this week. We also spent some
time talking through the initial design of their album and page and cover
options.The signing (or memory
board) is a twist on the guest book. Initially using an 8x10" image from the
e-Session a wide mount (16x20") is added to the photograph and the board is
placed at the reception, along with some simple instructions and pens. The
guests sign around the photograph on the mount and then after the wedding the
couple choose an image from their wedding day to replace the e-Session.
Details will be on our products
page in May, and we are offering this as an option to all clients we meet. Costs
are £99 for the completed board, or £225
framed. Here is a section of Helen
