Jane and Mick - The Old House Hotel, Wickham


Yesterday was the wedding of Jane and Mick at the Old House Hotel , Wickham a lovely Georgian hotel in the historic square.

Yesterday was the wedding of Jane and Mick at the Old House Hotel , Wickham a lovely Georgian hotel in the historic square.

Starting at the house of Janes' mum in the morning it was evident that today would be a wet weather wedding. Fortunately I had spent some time at the hotel in the previous week when it was looking likely to be raining over the weekend and made plans for the formal photographs.

After capturing some getting ready shots and details of the dress, shoes and jewellery I left and made my way to the hotel who were finalising the room for the ceremony. It looked stunning and with plenty of time until the wedding I made sure I got some lovely images of the cake and room and then found the groom and best man for some images.

Jane's arrival was rapid and I managed to get some photographs as she ran in under cover of umbrella - and whilst she spoke to the registrar I got myself into the best position for photographs during the ceremony, which was full of emotion. Afterwards I allowed them to relax with friends and family before shooting the formal groups in the conservatory and the tables laid out for the breakfast.

After the speeches the weather eased for a brief few moments and both Mick and Jane wanted to brave the damp to get some photographs out in the wonderful garden which we managed to do after which I left them to enjoy the rest of their day.
