Gill and Tom married at St Mary's, Hayling Island and the reception at Staunton Country Park

Yesterday I covered the wedding of Gill and Tom, childhood sweethearts from Hayling School and a lovely couple.

Yesterday I covered the wedding of Gill and Tom, childhood sweethearts from Hayling School and a lovely couple.

After spending time with both the bride and groom during their preparations which included a trip back to the school for the groomsmen I made my way to the church, established what I was able to do during the service and awaited Gill's arrival. The service was lovely with the signing of the register covered during a solo rendition of Ave Maria.

After some quick photographs at the church, and a huge confetti shower at the Lytch Gate the newlyweds and I made our way down to Hayling beach for some time alone - we used some of the beach huts and the view out to see as a backdrop for a photograph of the happy couple and their VW Camper wedding "bus". Shortly afterwards we arrived at Staunton Country Park in Havant where we quickly covered family groups before Gill and Tom and their guests moved to the line up. Gill and Tom cut their cake and then had speeches including a grand finale of a 4-bestman speech complete with powerpoint presentation.

Dinner followed - a magnificent hog roast from County Caterers, and then we took a short walk through to the walled garden for some quiet photographs of just to the two of them before returning to the party for the first dance and ceilidh band.

As usual here are some images from the day.
