Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing
Zoe and Pete's wedding at the All Saints Church in Botley village and then onto
the Meon Valley Marriott for the reception.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing
Zoe and Pete's wedding at the All Saints Church in Botley village and then onto
the Meon Valley Marriott for the reception. Zoe had been let down at short
notice by another photographer and for a couple of good reasons I had kept the
day clear - but happily took on their wedding after meeting Zoe and her mum and
I was really pleased when they selected me to cover their
wedding.
A long day started at the
house of Zoe's mum for the girls getting ready with hair and makeup and to shoot
the dresses, shoes,flowers and jewellery as well as Zoe being laced into her
stunning wedding gown. A dash to the church then ensued where I caught up with
the guys and made sure I introduced myself to the vicar conducting the ceremony
and got the "rules" which we very fair and allowed me to get some great images
during the service. We then moved on to the Meon Valley Marriott and took a
short golf buggy ride to the lake for some romantic wedding photographs and
completed the family groups at a shaded area close to the bar. After dinner I
covered the speeches and then chilled out until the evening reception where the
first dance and disco was completed when an Elvis impersonator surprised Pete
and did a set.
A beautiful sunny
wedding day was the least this couple deserved and I'm looking forward to
sharing the complete set of images from the day with them. But for now here is a
sneaky peek at some of
them.
